How do our consultations work?

After you book a consultation we will email you a comprehensive questionnaire for you to complete before the consultation.  By completing this fully we attain a better background of your personal circumstances and can give you the guidance you need much more quickly. Our consultations are held face to face in Auckland City or via phone/Skype.

Why do you use a questionnaire?

We use if for a number of reasons:

  • It provides us a comprehensive background on your current situation and goals.
  • It helps you think about what you want to talk to us about.  Many of clients have said they have had their moneys worth from just completing it.
  • It enables us to get a lot more achieved in our consultation than if we asked the questions during the consultation.

How long are the consultations?

A consultation is an hour long and we find most of our clients will get a good outline of what they need to do within this time. However some people may be dealing with more complex issues that require further guidance and we have different packages to suit your individual needs.

What do we cover?

This very much depends on your personal situation and the outcomes you wish to achieve.  While each consultation is different we will always check that you have the correct financial foundations in place as it’s often the basics that people miss.  The short version is we cover what you need personally to ensure you can attain the lifestyle you desire.

What’s the difference between a Money Consultation and a Financial Consultation?

A Money Consultation is simply more focused on getting your financial foundation sorted so you can move forward with confidence. The Financial & Property Consultation focus on more complex issues and draw on a wider range of experience for those needing more than just the basics.

What can I expect to get out of a consultation?

Our skills are about identifying what each individual wants to achieve and giving them some direction and clarity about how to achieve it.  We are not miracle workers and you will need to do some work – however we have had a lot of success with our clients over the years.

How often should I have a consultation?

It’s really up to you and your needs. Many people call on us when they have a life change or are facing a big financial decision. This allows them to utilise our wealth of knowledge whenever the need arises.

Other people decide to come and see us on a regular basis to ensure they stay on track. We recommend that you see us at least once a year to do an annual review. Just like we regularly get a warrant of fitness for our car (and considering the importance of money in our lives) we believe you should do the same with your finances to ensure you’re achieving your goals.

What type of clients do you see?

We have been in the industry a very long time and we have seen pretty much any type of person and situation you can imagine.  Our clients range from people deep in debt to those with large investment portfolios and just about everything in between. The best way to find out if we can help is pick up the phone and give us a call because if we can’t help we can probably point you in the direction of someone who can.

What can we give you advice about?

The advice that we give is general in nature and is more about providing you a financial sounding board, helping you with your financial strategy and giving you some guidance on your overall financial position.  We do not give advice on specific financial products and can refer you onto a number of specialists as and if required.

What other services do you provide?

In addition to our consultations, speaking & education services we have an extensive network of contacts.  If you need a referral for anything in the financial arena we should be able to help you.
